Our First Fundraiser: Moments of Grace
In honor of National Childhood Cancer Awareness month, we had the privilege of hosting our very first fundraiser! Since day one, it has been a personal goal for us to give back to local charities and non-profit organizations, and our new partnership with the youth-led We Cancerve Movement provided us with the rare and unique opportunity to spread some coconut warmth while supporting our local community.
The limited edition, Moments of Grace aromatherapy collection was a special project between our two companies and gave us a chance to get to know each other better and outline ways to help underserved families dealing with catastrophic experiences. A portion of every aromatherapy candle sold, Courage, Hope and Resilience, will benefit pediatric patients and their families at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
With the mission to make this more than just another fundraiser, we carefully curated everything about this collection. From the candle names, to the label design and the scents selected, everything had deep meaning and personal connections for both myself and Grace and her family.
Along with the inspirational candle names, we created therapeutic and aromatic scents aimed to provide Moments of Grace and warmth while also sparking Resilience (Eucalyptus & Spearmint) to help individuals remain steadfast and strong; Hope (Ginger & Spice) to inspire continued belief in faith and restoration; and lastly, Courage (Greentea & Lemongrass) to evoke bravery and strength to face the toughest of battles.
Thanks to all of you, we raised a remarkable $400 in just 20 days!! And thanks to a generous $100 donation from my amazing parents, we reached our goal of $500 to be donated to the We Cancerve Pediatric Assistance Fund.
